Les Greene, the voice of Little Richard in the recent “Elvis” movie and Grammy nominated soundtrack. With his band The Swayzees, vibrantly bring you a powerful force of roots rock n soul. With a high energy twist on the genre all while staying true to its sound this is the unique yet recognizable spin that music needs right now and hasn’t seen in some time.

One of the best entertainers of his time, waiting for the rest of the world to experience his natural born gift.
In the rich tapestry of music, few genres resonate as deeply and universally as soul. It’s a genre that speaks directly to the heart, tapping into emotions with its poignant lyrics, infectious rhythms, and impassioned vocal performances. And within the realm of soul music, one name stands out for his ability to captivate audiences with his soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics: Les Greene.

At the core of Greene’s music lies a deep reverence for the traditions of soul, but he’s never been one to simply replicate the sounds of the past. Instead, he infuses his music with a modern sensibility, blending elements of R&B, funk, and jazz to create a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. His songs are a testament to the enduring power of soul music – a celebration of love, loss, and the human experience.

Beyond his talent as a solo artist, Greene is also known for his dynamic live performances. Whether he’s commanding the stage with his soulful voice and blistering guitar solos or leading a tight-knit band through a funky groove, Greene is a consummate entertainer, capable of captivating audiences with his boundless energy and magnetic stage presence. His live shows are a testament to the transformative power of music – a shared experience that brings people together and leaves them uplifted and inspired.

Les Greene has energy, enthusiasm, and dance moves somewhere between James Brown and Elvis. He was — and remains — a tornado of energy onstage, both vocally and physically. — MIAMI NEW TIMES

Ian Moore Band on the Patio at WIT Cellars

Musician playing electric guitar with Ian Moore Band text

“ You should be playing stadiums!”. Ian laughs while hearing this after another blazing performance at the 2024 SXSW music festival. Is he laughing because he has played his fair share already, from shows with some of the most
influential musicians of all time, from the Rolling Stones to Bob Dylan, to a long line of headline festival performances, or because he knows the folly of the music business? “I’m always aiming for the fences,” he says, but you can tell he’s also motivated by something deeper.

Ian is a triple threat and an artist’s artist. He came up in Austin, mentored by the greats. Stevie Ray Vaughan famously gave him his first guitar, and you can hear the lineage in his fingers, but then you hear that voice…” I was obsessed with the soul singers as a kid,” he says, and you can hear those influences in his silky falsetto and his soulful phrasing. Spin magazine described him as a cross between Aaron Neville and Jimi Hendrix, and that duality sets him apart from so many other guitarists. There is a sensitivity within the fire and an economy in his playing that came from years and years playing with the greats as a young man, sharing stages with Willie Nelson, Albert King, Jimmie Vaughan, Albert Collins, Doug Sahm, and many others while still in his teens and early twenties.

At the same time, Ian is always searching for new ways to expand and refine his music, working with groundbreaking producers like Mark Howard/Daniel Lanois(Bob Dylan, U2), Joe Chicarelli(White Stripes, Elton John), and more
recently, Adrian Quesada, whose band ‘the Black Pumas’ was starting to hit as they were making Ian’s ‘Strange Days.’ He looks at songwriting through a lens just as serious as Guy Clark or John Prine, but through a scope that includes
influences from country blues to brit pop and back. “Man, many people don’t even listen to lyrics anymore, but to me, it is the core of a great song, and if the core is hollow, the rest of it will echo that.” That solid foundation has led to four
top 20 rock radio hits, countless TV appearances, and even a feature role In the film Slingblade, Billy Bob Thornton’s southern gothic masterpiece.

With such a rich history, it would be easy to rest on his accomplishments, but Ian doesn’t see it that way. “When we pull into a town, nobody cares what we’ve done in the past; they want to be electrified, and our focus is to be the best
thing they have ever seen.” Watching him play to yet another capacity crowd and leave them screaming long after he’s left the stage, you can see his dedication and hunger are just where they need to be. He’s staring down
another touring season filled with festivals and marquee shows and gearing up to record later this year in what will be his twelfth release. It’s a dizzying pace, and you have to wonder how anyone can keep their focus and integrity with that much action and movement.“I have to speak from the heart.” He says. “It’s the only thing you have and the only thing that matters. Trends come and go. When you speak from the heart, you never go wrong.” Looking across the field and seeing thousands of fans completely immersed in his music, you can see a lifetime of soul smiling back at him.

Jason Eady Live at Brewminatti

Man with acoustic guitar sitting on stone steps

With a decades-long commitment to his craft as a songwriter, Jason Eady has built his career on bringing his unique perspective to a variety of genres, from the “groove centered” blues of his native Mississippi to the classic sound of Texas, the place he calls home. Known by critics and fans alike for his thoughtful, soulful writing and multi-genre mastery, Eady’s acumen as an artist is rooted in his ability to balance musical exploration with tradition – the result is an artist who delivers authentic songs that detail slices of Eady’s life that resonate with audiences, whether he’s accompanied by bluegrass pickers or pedal steel. At the heart of Eady’s music is the song and his ability – proven by time and his extensive accolades – to remain loyal and authentic to himself while pushing his storytelling beyond the conventions of genre and form.

Ben Rice & The PCX Hustle at Brewminatti

Live band performing on stage with horns and guitar

Ben Rice might be described as quiet and unassuming—until he picks up a guitar. A three-time Blues Music Award nominee, Rice has built a reputation as one of the most expressive and versatile artists in today’s roots and blues scene. While he began in traditional blues, over the years he’s expanded his sound with soul, R&B, folk, and country, creating a welcoming front-porch atmosphere where every listener feels at home.

In 2023, Ben Rice unveiled a bold new chapter with his horn-driven ensemble, Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle. With its blend of horns, vocal harmonies, piano, and organ, the group captures the raw energy of Rice’s live show and delivers it with a groove that has been igniting audiences across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

With his new album Fallen Angel (2025), Rice showcases not only his fearless guitar work and emotive voice but also his evolution as a songwriter and bandleader. The record is both a tribute to his late drummer Chandler Bowerman and a testament to resilience, creativity, and the deep joy of making music.

Never Come Down at Brewminatti

Five musicians posing with acoustic instruments indoors

Formed in 2017, Never Come Down was born from the vibrant if not occasionally overlooked music scene of Portland, Oregon. Much like the city that inspired them, they’re a smart, charming, off-beat amalgam of varied backgrounds and tastes. In today’s paradoxical world where honoring tradition is often pitted against exploration and innovation, the band confidently walks the line between the modern and the tried-and-true. They’ve gained a loyal following and continue to win over audiences everywhere from Reykjavik’s Iceland Airwaves to San Francisco’s acclaimed Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. They’ve gained the attention of industry veterans, and toured in support of notable acts such as Yonder Mountain String Band and The Travelin’ McCourys, among others. Never Come Down’s live performance never disappoints- with showmanship, originality, songwriting and musical prowess far beyond their years.

Seth Walker Trio at Brewminatti

Bearded man playing acoustic guitar in hat

Seth is one of our Brewminatti faves – this will be  his SIXTH performance at Brew and we couldn’t be happier.

Seth’s music is inspired by the places he has lived – Austin, New Orleans, Asheville – and it’s a cool blend of Americana, blues, jazz and soul.  He has toured and played with The Mavericks, Raul Malo, The Wood Brothers, Paul Thorn and Ruthie Foster among many others.  He’s touring to support his new album Why TheWorry?

The new album finds Walker reunited with old friends and familiar names. Once again Jano Rix steps behind the boards, co-producing the album with Seth and engineer Brook Sutton.

In the producer’s fifth outing he’s become an invaluable sounding board, the kind who knows what’s missing and, just as importantly, what needs to be taken away.  Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers) lends a pen to the title track, and Seth’s classically trained father Scott adds strings to “I’m Getting Ready,” a song penned by Walker’s contemporary Michael Kiwanuka.

Mostly, though, the record was shepherded into shape by Walker’s trio, rounded out by longtime confidants Rhees Williams (Guitar, Piano) and Mark Raudabaugh (Drums). The three let the studio guide them, entering without agenda, set straight by the title’s mantra to stop worrying where they’d end up.

But worry always tries to creep in. It’s inevitable, isn’t it? The album was just about finished when Hurricane Helene hit Walker’s region in the mountains around Asheville, and as a result, the record almost didn’t see light.  As catastrophe took shape and literal bridges were broken, the album’s importance wavered in Seth’s mind until the central theme came back into view. The worry wouldn’t undo any damage, and there was still service in song. There’s a telling nod in the album closing with Bobby Charles’ seminal ode “I Must Be In a Good Place Now.” Why The Worry is a spiritual reset, watching the sunrise over the mountains. It soaks in like warmth on the skin after a night of shivering in the dark.

Kimmi Bitter & The Westside Twang on the Patio at WIT Cellars

Three musicians posing with upright bass and guitar

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
on The Patio at WIT Cellars

Dubbed “the future of classic country” by Saving Country Music, Kimmi Bitter is painting a whole new tapestry that drapes golden-era Countrypolitan with coastal desert twang. Drawing comparisons from Patsy Cline to a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack, her sound echoes the spirit of early 60’s California—sun-soaked, sharp-dressed in mod tones, and just rebellious enough to drift left of the traditional country dial. A rising force in the underground Americana scene, she’s capturing attention with her debut album Old School (2024), which hit the Top 25 Americana Album Radio Chart and earned eight nominations, including wins for Song of the Year (2024 & 2025) and Best Country Album (2025) at the San Diego Music Awards. The album also topped at No.1 the Alt-Country Specialty Charts for four consecutive weeks, and her live performance was recently regarded as “one of the biggest takeaways” from Austin’s SXSW. As a follow-up to her acclaimed debut Old School, Bitter’s second album is set for release in summer 2026, diving deeper into the roots of her sound with a record that feels both timeless and distinctly West Coast.

Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys at Brewminatti

Four musicians backstage with acoustic guitar

We LOVELOVELOVE Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys.

Since forming in 1988 in Southern California, Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys have become one of the world’s most beloved Americana/Roots acts, drawing from the deep musical waters that flow just beneath the surface of Rock & Roll’s fertile soil. A childhood passion for Country, Doo-Wop, and Rhythm & Blues 45s led Sandy (born Robert Williams) to pursue a singing career as a teenager, beginning a life in music that continues decades later. And as his personal record collection continues to grow (75,000 and counting), so does the depth of the musical influences that stream through his songwriting and singing style A critically acclaimed tribute to Tex-Mex hero Freddy Fender, released at the beginning of the 2020 lockdown, points the way forward for Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys as they continue on a path of musical growth. After nearly 35 years on the road, and more than two dozen releases to their credit, they remain key figures on the ever-changing Americana circuit, both on record and in live appearances.
