McKinley Springs invites you to visit our Prosser tasting room. We offer a variety of wines for every palate and a friendly, knowledgeable staff that takes pride in providing a first-class hospitality experience for everyone who comes to see us.

McKinley Springs Vineyards are located in the heart of the Horse Heaven Hills, a long range of high, rolling hills in Klickitat, Yakima, and Benton counties in Washington State. The area takes its name from an early pioneer who said, upon seeing the region and its wide prairies and expanses, ”Surely this is Horse Heaven!” The wine grapes we grow in our estate vineyard are featured in more than 500 wines that are 90+ point, gold, or above.

Come and visit us at our Prosser tasting room, located at Winemaker’s Loft within Vintner’s village. Desert Moon offers gracious hospitality, welcoming each guest as if they were family. It’s in the way you are greeted, the care poured into every bottle and the joy shared in the stories told.

Desert Moon wines are crafted from grapes nurtured on the fertile banks of the mighty Columbia River in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. For the Tucker family, the Columbia River is not just a life-giving resource; it’s a daily reminder of what they are privileged to enjoy on their Horse Heaven Hills farm.

Our tasting room offers a relaxed yet polished atmosphere where guests can enjoy exceptional wines and sincere connections. Our outdoor space, shared with our neighbors- Coyote Canyon and Martinez & Martinez, is unmatched on warm, sunny day.

When winery owners, Amy and Kyle Johnson tied the knot, little did they know that some fifteen generations ago their ancestors, the Murets and Gastons, were neighbors of sorts, living in adjacent villages in southern France. This ancestral discovery inspired their shared vision for their Muret-Gaston family of wines. These award-winning, barrel select wines are not only the result of a fine winemaker and superior fruit, but of the love and respect they have for their families, old and new. In addition, they serve as a reminder of the importance of taking time to cultivate current family relationships while establishing a legacy for future generations. Each bottle of Muret-Gaston wine is produced from some of the finest vineyards in Washington State’s infamous Red Mountain and Wahluke Slope AVAs. With fruit slowly ripened in the vineyard, these premium wines are handcrafted using a fusion of Old World and New World winemaking techniques and are fittingly aged to perfection in all French barrels. The result is not only a fine bottle of wine, but a bottle of hard work, pride, tradition, family values and love.

In 2008 we set out to start a winery with a specific vision: to embody the soul of wine from vineyard to bottle to table. Our philosophy is that wine should be accessible, approachable, and affordable. But most of all, we believe a wine’s purpose is to bring together family and friends! With 10 years of viticulture and winemaking experience in Washington State, we know a thing or two about making wine. For starters, Purple Star’s varietal blends are grown from some of Washington State’s finest appellations including Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley and Red Mountain. With grapes handpicked at their optimal flavor profile and juice fermented at cooler temperatures for longer periods, our wines exhibit softer tannins and retain more varietal character.

Yakima Valley Vintners is part of Yakima Valley College; a teaching winery and tasting room.

Bringing tropical vibes to the heart of Prosser, Shaka Café serves up fresh, island-inspired eats like açaí bowls and smoothies. . It’s also a great stop for our morning coffee of choice!

With a rotating tap list, relaxed atmosphere, and local vibes, it’s the perfect place to kick back with friends and enjoy a pint in the heart of wine country.
