98th Annual States Day Celebration
-
September 1
Prosser’s oldest community event, “States Day” will be held on Monday, Sept 1st, 2025, and offers something for the whole family.
Kicking off the day is the Grand Parade which starts at 10:00am. The Prossser VFW color guard leads off a long line of marching bands, floats, mounted entries, junior and senior organizations and much more. The parade is usually the longest in Central Washington, with more than 100 entries each year.
Those interested in participating as an entrant in the parade can fill out the form online here: https://forms.gle/Kw9TE3TQiAhwCsXN6
Parade entry is free and is a fun way for local businesses and organizations to be a part of the day.
After the parade, family activities get underway at the city park. Stop on your way into the park to sign into your state of origin, and don’t forget to purchase your States Day Commemorative buttons for a chance to win Split the Pot! Then grab food from the Boy Scouts Hamburger Stand or one of our other tasty food vendors.
In 2025, for the FIRST time, we will host a Community Carnival of old-time carnival games in City Park after the parade. Prosser non-profits and youth organizations will be setting up tents with games like balloon pop, spoon races, face painting, archery and more. Bring your kiddos over to have some fun!
Try your luck at BINGO under the pavilion in support of Historic Downtown Prosser. Or enjoy the stage show with the Community Band at 11:30, Jr. Mustangs Cheer at 12:30, Diamond Ridge Cloggers at 1:00, and Nicole Rene at 2:00. Entertainment will take an important break at 1:00pm for the States Day Button Split-the-Pot Drawing – The more we sell, the bigger your prize!
Bring the family and enjoy a great day of fun, food, and entertainment at Prosser’s States Day Celebration!
